Today is National Mac and Cheese Day, National Tape Measure Day AND…National Nude Day.
National Mac and Cheese Day is pretty self explanatory. National Tape Measure Day is to honour Alvin J. Fellows of New Haven, Connecticut who made the lives of carpenters, electricians, seamstresses and countless other tradesmen and craftsmen easier when his patent for “Improvements in Tape Measures” was granted. His patent was dated July 14, 1868. Today is also National Nude Day. National Nude Day is a way to keep cool on a hot, sticky summer day. Nudist groups around the world celebrate this holiday and take it quite seriously. Nudists are individuals who believe the human body is most beautiful in their natural state. Whether or not you agree with them, nudists encourage people shed the restrictions of clothing and be natural. And if you want to prepare for the weekend Sunday is National Ice Cream Day. If you’re hungry now I’m sorry. Not sorry.
