The OPP have laid charges against the driver of transport truck who was pulled over Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:00pm on Hwy 400. Eye witnesses called police to report a slow-moving, erratic truck traveling along Hwy 409 and onto the 401 eastbound before eventually being pulled over on the northbound 400 highway. Police briefly chatted with the driver before arresting him for suspected impaired driving. The driver, a 33-year old from B.C., was charged with impaired driving, over .80 and dangerous driving after registering more than 3x the legal blood alcohol limit. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing. His truck was full and police report it was carrying a dangerous load.
