61 Year Old Woman Allegedly Assaults A 71 Year Old Woman In Snow Shovelling Incident

Guelph Police have arrested a 61-year-old woman who allegedly injured a 71-year-old woman in a snow-shovelling fight. It happened on Tuesday when the two woman were shovelling snow from their cars in an apartment complex. Police say the 61-year-old woman became upset about where the 71-year-old woman was dumping snow. The 71-year old ended up with a cut to her cheek and bruising on her wrists. The 61-year-old was charged with assault.

Snow Shovelling Skirmish Results in Arrest

On January 9, 2019, two female residents of a Waterloo Ave apartment were shovelling snow from their vehicles in the complex parking lot. One of the females, a 61 year old, was upset about the way the other 71 year old female was placing the snow from the vehicle she was clearing. It is alleged that the 61 year old threw snow with her shovel at the other female resulting in a physical altercation. The victim received a cut to her cheek and bruising to her wrists. She did not require medical attention. The 61 year old will appear in court on March 12, 2019 to face the charge of Assault.
