Alex Trebek Reveals His Tumors Have Shrunk By Half And His Cancer Is Near Remission

Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is near remission in his battle with stage 4 cancer, revealing his tumors have shrunk by half.   The happy news comes just less than three months after Trebek revealed he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which has just a nine percent survival rate.   After a few more rounds of chemotherapy, Trebek will hopefully reach full remission.  “It’s kind of mind-boggling,” he told People Magazine.  “The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory.”  “Some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”  Trebek credits his incredible progress with not just the help of medicine, but also the love of his fans.  “I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed their good thoughts, their positive energy directed towards me and their prayers,” he said.   “I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo, and they agreed it could very well be an important part of this.”  “I’ve got a lot of love out there headed in my direction and a lot of prayer, and I will never ever minimize the value of that.” Trebek revealed that he became emotional after hearing he was near remission. “But they were tears of joy,” he said.  “Not tears of depression.”
