Bolton Man Facing Multiple Charges After Taking Items From A Store And Then Fleeing In His Friend’s Vehicle

A 38-year-old man from Bolton is facing multiple charges following an incident at Home Hardware in Orangeville on Friday morning. Around 8:15am police got a call about a disturbance between the owner and a customer. The customer left the store prior to police arriving. Police say he left the store without paying for two saw blades. He then drove away in his friend’s vehicle without permission, leaving the friend stranded at the store. He was located a few hours later and was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Operating a Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol or Drugs, Possession of Heroin, Take Motor vehicle Without Consent and Driving While Under Suspension. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on September 24, 2019 to answer to the allegations.
