Bon Jovi had to release six singles before they scored their first #1 hit, but Jon Bon Jovi’s hit a home run with his very first wine! Earlier this year, he and his son Jesse launched Diving Into Hampton Water, a rosé. It was in partnership with French winemaker Gérard Bertrand.
A blend of three different grapes, the wine sells for about $25 a bottle. And now, the prestigious magazine Wine Spectator has named it the best rosé of 2018. On the publication’s list of the Top 100 Wines of the Year, there are only two rosés, and the most highly rated one is Diving Into Hampton Water, coming in at #83 and earning a 90-point rating out of 100.
The other one came in at #93 on the list. “A nicely crafted rosé, with a hint of creamy richness lining the strawberry, melon and white cherry flavors. A dash of minerality imparts depth through the long, mouthwatering finish. A crowd-pleaser…drink now,” writes the magazine.
