Caledon Bistro Serving Deep Fried Maple Leaves This Weekend

Following the philosophy that “anything can be deep fried”, Spirit Tree Estate Cidery in Caledon, Ontario, is planning to serve a new food this weekend. It’s deep friend maple leaves.  The cidery took actual maple leaves, cured them in salt, dipped them in tempura batter and then deep fried them.  The deep fried maple leaves are served covered in maple syrup, soy dressing, and peanut praline. The leaves are part of the cidery’s fall bistro menu, and this weekend will most likely be your last chance to get one.
