Haligonians lined city streets Sunday to observe the police-escorted motorcade carrying the remains of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds member who died in a jet crash last week. Halifax native and public affairs officer Captain Jennifer Casey died May 17th in the crash of a Snowbirds Tutor jet in Kamloops, BC. The aerobatics team had been carrying out a cross-country tour aimed at raising Canadians’ spirits during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Air Force held a ramp ceremony at the Halifax airport before the procession transported Casey’s remains to a funeral home in the city.
