Everything You Need To Know About Watching Game One Of The NBA Playoffs

Here we go. For the first time ever, the NBA Finals are being played outside the United States. Game 1 goes tonight at 9:00pm with your Toronto Raptors hosting the Golden State Warriors. As you heard yesterday, there are more places to watch the game now. In addition to Jurassic Park and all of the bars and pubs throughout the GTA, not to mention multiple Cineplex theatres screening the game … Jurassic Park west is open at Celebration Square in Mississauga and Jurassic Square is open at Garden Square in Brampton. Kitchener, Caledon and Burlington are just some of the other areas planning their own versions of Jurassic Park.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is being televised on Sportsnet.

The Raptors are healthy heading into game one with all of the usuals expected to be in the line-up. Raptors reserve OG Anunoby may even return to the line-up tonight. He has missed almost seven weeks because of an emergency appendectomy. Anunoby had surgery April 11, two days before Toronto opened the first round of the playoffs against Orlando.

Drake is expected to be courtside once again, although reports say the NBA league office has placed a call to the team, warning them to tone done his behaviour.

There are road closures around Scotiabank Arena in effect because of the game. Some of those are in effect all day long. But good news … the originally scheduled early closure on the TTC’s line 1 for maintenance has been cancelled.

Here is a list of Cineplex theatres in the GTA that are screening tonight’s game:

Cineplex Cinemas Courtney Park
Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan
Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill
Cineplex Odeon Ajax Cinemas
Cineplex Odeon Niagara Square Cinemas
Cineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas
