UPDATE – Lea Michele Issues Apology For Mistreating Co-Stars After Being Called Out

Lea Michele just lost a huge endorsement and many more might follow after accusations from cast members of GLEE and other productions she has been in. On Monday, Lea tweeted out about the protests and used the hashtag BlackLivesMatter. That didn’t sit well with a few people who have worked with Lea, including Samantha Marie Ware, who was on the show with her in season 6, she responded by calling her out for traumatic microaggressions including threatening to s*it in her wig.

It continued, as several other black cast members have since seemed to back these accusations, including one who said Lea would not let him sit at her table during break because ‘he didn’t belong there’. Yavette Nicole Brown who was in ‘The Mayor‘ with her, liked the tweet and said she felt ‘every one of those capital letters’ from the tweet. Abigail Breslin, who isn’t black but did work closely with her on Scream Queens, liked all the tweets, including one from an actor that worked with lea that said “i’ve BEEN saying this FOR YEARS??? i thought i was alone”.

UPDATE:

Lea, on Wednesday morning, issued an apology for her actions in the past.  “I don’t remember ever making this specific statement and I have never judged others by their background or color of their skin,” adding, “That’s not really the point, what matters is that I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people.”

That said — HelloFresh just dropped her, adding “We take this very seriously, and have terminated our partnership with Lea Michele, effective immediately.”
