The federal NDP party’s fortunes in New Brunswick have taken a major hit. An executive member for Atlantic Canada says the party does not have a path to victory in any of New Brunswick’s 10 ridings under leader Jagmeet Singh. Jonathan Richardson announced yesterday he is joining the Green party. In fact, fourteen candidates for the party in that province have jumped ship and are joining the provincial and federal Green parties. The defections come as the NDP have so far failed to nominate as single candidate in any of the province’s 10 ridings with the federal election fewer than 50 days away.
