Game One Of The NBA Final Goes To Toronto

History was made last night.  The first NBA Finals game to be played outside of the United States has gone to Toronto. The Raptors now have a 1-0 lead in the series after beating the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors 118-109. Pascal Siakam scored a playoff career-high 32 points. Kawhi Leonard had 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists in his first NBA Finals game since winning MVP of the 2014 championship with the San Antonio Spurs.

Fans energy across the province was amazing last night. Fans began lining up to get into Jurassic Park early yesterday morning. It’s estimated that 20,000 packed into Celebration Square in Mississauga. Burlington’s viewing party eventually had to stop letting people in because it was so packed. And Sunday we do it all over again. Game 2 of the Finals is in Toronto on Sunday at 9pm.

Drake quickly got under the skin of the Golden State Warriors last night. He exchanged words with Draymond Green after Game 1. When a reporter referred to it as a scuffle, Green disagreed, saying they simply barked at each other.
