There are actually several specials happening for Grads of 2020 (that, let’s face it — got totally screwed out of their well-deserved celebrations).

Check out the big online events taking place this weekend, and in June. Facebook, Youtube and Major TV Networks are taking part in these:

 

#Graduation2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebrate the Class of 2020
Friday, May 15
Facebook has planned a special event on the Facebook app and Instagram. And it stars the one and only Oprah! Not only will Oprah Winfrey be giving you some words of wisdom, Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X, Simone Biles, and more will show up for the class of 2020. Miley Cyrus will do a special performance of her hit song, “The Climb.” It’ll happen at 2pm.

This LeBron James initiative will have special guests and performers like Bad Bunny, Charli D’Amelio, Dixie D’Amelio, Chika, YBN Cordae, Loren Gray, H.E.R., the Jonas Brothers, Brandan Bmike Odums, Ben Platt, Henry Platt, Jonah Platt, Megan Rapinoe, Yara Shahidi, Lena Waithe, Pharrell Williams, Malala Yousafzai, and many more. The One-Hour Primetime Special will air Simultaneously Across ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, as Well as TikTok, Facebook, Complex Networks, PEOPLE, YouTube, and More

YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020

Yes…Another virtual star-studded graduation ceremony has been announced.  Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys and President Barack and Mrs. Obama.  YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 will premiere Saturday, June 6 on the YouTube Originals channel and the Learn@Home site.  The full schedule of who is speaking or performing, and when, will be available on the Learn@Home site beginning on May 17.  Lady Gaga will be among the stars delivering inspirational commencement speeches, along with the Obamas, BTS, activist Malala Yousafzai, the CEO of Google, and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.  Other stars who’ll appear include Alicia, Kerry Washington, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, and YouTube creators like Jackie Aina, Dude Perfect and Heath Hussar.  BTS will also be one of the performers at the event’s virtual grad night afterparty.
