Hear that? That’s the sound of Simon Cowell breathing a sigh of relief out there somewhere. Remember when Gabrielle Union was let go from “America’s Got Talent” after complaining about racial insensitivity and a toxic work environment? An investigation shows no racial bias and “an overall culture of diversity” on the set. But they also found areas where the reporting process could be improved, they admit. NBC says Gabrielle’s complaints had nothing to do with her being let go. And for the record, they say they hired an OUTSIDE investigator to do the work. One insider close to the show tells Variety ‘some changes have been implemented, including the installment of sensitivity training and outlets to help screen and elevate issues to human resources more efficiently.’ Apparently this current season has new practices in place.
