Heads up … today and tomorrow there is a real risk of serious flooding. Not only are the double digit temperatures going to melt a lot more snow, but the ground is still frozen and can’t absorb all of the rain we are going to get. A system is heading our way from the U.S. It will bring rain early this afternoon and then heavy rain with possible thunderstorms tonight. The system should clear out by mid-morning tomorrow and the temperatures will start to drop again. Over the weekend, temperatures will return to just above zero. The normal high for this time of year is 5 with an overnight low of -4.
So far no warnings or special weather statements have been issued by Environment Canada.
