Canadian Bianca Andreescu scored her first career WTA Tour title, and a nice pay cheque to go with it. The unseeded 18-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario upset eighth-seeded German Angelique Kerber 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the women’s final at the BNP Paribas Open. The victory is worth just over $1.35 million dollars U.S.
