The excitement of opening weekend for the Premier Lacrosse League in Foxborough, Massachusetts was overshadowed by a grizzly incident that allegedly happened off the field. Reports say there was an altercation between Hamilton’s Matt Gaudet and Austin Staats of Six Nations of the Grand River. The alleged incident was at the player’s hotel. Video from the aftermath appears to show Gaudett’s finger was partially bitten off. The PLL released a statement saying that both players have been suspended indefinitely, pending further investigation. There has been no comment from either player.
