An Orangeville police officer is facing criminal charges. Constable Stephen Fisher, a 10-year veteran of the force, was charged by the OPP on Tuesday with Disclosure of Private Communication and Breach of Trust by a Police Officer. Police will not comment on what the disclosure of private information was or who it was disclosed to. “We always hold our staff to a very high standard of accountability. This is not a reflection on the dedicated and professional members of the Orangeville Police Service, who keep our community safe. We are committed to upholding the values and ensuring the integrity of our oath of office”, said Chief Wayne Kalinski. “Since this matter is now before the courts, no further comments will be made”. Fisher has been suspended from duty and will appear in an Orangeville courtroom on February 5, 2019.
