Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy passed away on Friday, of complications from the coronavirus. He was 75. Roy tested positive last month and at the time, his rep said that he was “responding well to treatment.” But clearly, his condition took a turn for the worse. Siegfried Fischbacher said, quote, “The world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend. From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world.” Of course, Roy battled some significant health issues after barely surviving a white tiger attack in 2003. During one of their shows, a seven-year-old tiger named Montecore bit into Roy’s neck and carried him offstage. That put an immediate end to their Vegas run, which had been a staple at the Mirage for 13-plus years.
