Sam Adams Releases A Beer For Tom Brady’s Critics

Boston brewery Sam Adams is honouring New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with a new beer that pokes fun at his critics. The Double IPA is called Too Old, Too Slow, Still Here.   The label features a goat holding a football, a reference to Brady’s nickname as the GOAT – the Greatest of All Time. The limited edition brew will be available only at the Sam Adams tap room Thursday afternoon.  Brady and teammates have been using similar sayings to motivate them during the playoffs this season. During the AFC title game win over Kansas City, for instance, New England wide receiver Julian Edelman could be heard pumping Brady up by telling him he was “too old.”  And after Brady earned his ninth trip to the Super Bowl, he jokingly told CBS that “everybody thinks we suck and can’t win any games.”  Although he’s known for his strict diet and healthy living, Brady is also known to drink an entire beer in one gulp, as he did on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert while promoting his book, The TB12 Method.  “We’re behind New England Patriots 100% as they head to the big game,” Jim Koch, founder and brewer, said in a company press release. “The best way we could think to honour the team was to brew a beer for fans that can’t make it to Atlanta and a New England style Double IPA with as much spirit as the players felt like the perfect beer.
