Ontario’s police watchdog has concluded a one-year-old boy was fatally shot by police after his father’s pickup truck crashed into a cruiser in Kawartha Lakes. The SIU says the finding is based on the results of an autopsy and forensic analysis of bloodstains and other evidence. The boy was shot during an altercation between his father and police after an officer laying down a spike belt was injured last November 26th. The 33-year-old father later died from his injuries in hospital.
