The Government’s Powerful New Concussion Commercial Debuted Last Night

Those watching the NBA Finals last night may have seen a powerful new commercial about concussion safety. The spot from the provincial government recently started playing in Cineplex theatres and made its debut on Sportsnet Ontario last night. It was inspired by the death of 17-year-old Ontario girl Rowan Stringer who died in 2013 from second impact syndrome after multiple concussions as a rugby player. The ad features a young female soccer player training hard and taking hits to her head during games, then collapsing on the field.
