The Man Accused Of Throwing Feces At Toronto Residents Was In Court Yesterday

Dozens of spectators were in court in Toronto yesterday for the appearance of a man accused of dumping feces on five victims at or near two university campuses. Samuel Opoku is charged with five counts each of assault with a weapon and mischief related to three alleged attacks that occurred at libraries at York University and the University of Toronto and outside a U of T building. The 23-year-old was remanded in custody until his next court appearance set for next Tuesday. His appearance was delayed for hours and had to be moved to a bigger courtroom to accommodate all the spectators, including some students who said they were looking for some insight into the motive for the alleged attacks.
