This Meteorologist Proposed To His Storm Chaser Boyfriend As A Tornado Approached

A meteorologist found the perfect backdrop to propose to his boyfriend on Tuesday — popping the question in front of a massive tornado.  “The 2 loves of my life,” storm chaser Joey Krastel tweeted, along with a photo of the special moment.  The now-viral image shows Krastel down on one knee in front of his boyfriend Chris Scott, as a massive tornado in Kansas looms in the background.  “It all just kind of came together and happened so quickly,” Krastel told NBC News of the whirlwind engagement. “I was like ‘OK, this is it.’”  Krastel and Scott, who is also a storm chaser, were in Kansas this week as a string of devastating tornadoes ripped through the Midwest.  The pair met on Instagram and bonded over their shared love of storms.  One day, Scott sent Krastel a message that said: “Hey, do you chase tornadoes?”  “That’s why it was always in the back of my mind to get engaged during storm chasing,” Krastel told the outlet. “I felt like it would be this perfect way to seal the deal.”
