Today marks exactly 1-month since the mass shooting at a Parkland high school in Florida. Yesterday prosecutors announced they will seek the death penalty for the Florida teen accused of killing 17 people. This morning students across America are staging a mass-walk from their classes. The ENOUGH National School Walkout is a call on Congress to pass tighter gun control laws. The event will be at 10am across every time zone and last 17 minutes — one minute for each of the victims gunned down in the Feb. 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The walkout is organized primarily by young people working with Women’s March Youth Empower. Those behind the Women’s March also ran the anti-Trump Women’s March demonstrations in January 2017.
