A driver is dead following a dramatic three-vehicle collision involving a stolen tractor trailer in Mississauga late last night. It happened at an Esso gas station near Mavis Road and Eglinton Avenue. As a result of the crash, the truck flipped over onto its side, crashed into the Esso sign and took out various wires. There are reports that the truck was also leaking fuel. Peel Regional Police confirm two other drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The incident prompted a large power outage in the area. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact Peel Regional Police.

The intersection will remain closed for several more hours in order to process the scene. MCB officers are in attendance. Please utilize alternate routes for the morning commute. The investigation is on-going.
