Two Dead After Six Shootings In Toronto Yesterday

It was a really violent day on Toronto streets yesterday. There were 6-shootings including a double shooting near King & Spadina early this morning that killed a man and sent a woman to a trauma centre with serious injuries. The male was in his 30’s and the woman in her 20’s. This was Toronto’s 95th homicide of the year.

Other shooting incidents included:

  • Reports of multiple shots fired near Lansdowne and Seaforth avenues. Police found shell casings but (so far) no victims have been reported.
  • Yesterday a man was shot near Jane and Finch around 4:30pm. He suffered serious injuries. Police believe a collision may have preceded the gunfire.
  • Around 10am yesterday police responded to reports of gunshots in the Bathurst and St. Clair West area. A man was suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He is expected to survive. Two men were seen fleeing the scene.
  • Yesterday morning a 28-year old man was shot and killed at an apartment building in the Jane & Finch area around 6:45am. He was the 94th Toronto homicide victim of the year. Police are looking for three male suspects who may have fled in a white hatchback.
  • The violence began around 1:30am when a man was shot near Tapscott Rd and Finch West. Police said multiple shots were fired and a grey car was seen fleeing. The victim’s injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
