It took the Maple Leafs 16 years, but they finally won a series opener. Mitch Marner scored twice, including one on a short-handed penalty shot, as Toronto beat the Bruins 4-1 in Boston last night. The Leafs won a Game 1 for the first time since April 9th, 2003 when they beat the Philadelphia Flyers. John Tavares and William Nylander also scored for Toronto. Freddy Andersen made 37 saves in the win. Game 2 is tomorrow night in Boston at 8pm. Prior to that, the Raptors will play game 1 of their series against the Orlando Magic.
