Tiger Woods won his first major golf championship in 11 years yesterday with a come-from-behind victory at the Masters. The win at Augusta National in Georgia was 43-year-old Woods’ 15th major — and it moved him to within three of the record 18 held by Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus won his last major at the age of 46. It was Woods’ first major title since the 2008 U.S. Open, capping a remarkable recovery from debilitating injuries and embarrassing personal problems.
Perhaps the highlight of the victory for fans watching at home was the moment Tiger hugged his young son, Charlie, reminiscent of when Tiger himself was hugged by his own father after winning at Augusta. Here is the video:
