How Kat Callaghan Got Into Radio:
Kat’s love for Media started in High School with a co-op at Rogers Television in Kitchener. She attended Conestoga College right after that for a 3 year program which focused on both Radio and Television Broadcasting. While still in her first year, she was hired on as a Promotions Assistant at 91.5 The Beat in Kitchener. From 2006 to 2008, Kat worked her way from Promotions to on-air as a swing announcer. From there, she made the move to afternoons on 105.3 Kool-FM in Waterloo (now Virgin Radio 105.3). Simultaneously, Kat was hosting a weekend show at 104.5 CHUM-FM in Toronto.
In August 2012, Kat joined Scott Fox on the Z103.5 Morning Show in Toronto where they hosted the Scott & Kat show for 7 years.
The duo launched the “After 9” podcast which at one point was the second most downloaded English podcast nationwide on iHeart Radio. However, in September, 2019 Scott & Kat announced their resignation from Z103.5 after accepting an offer to return to their hometown and take over the morning show on Corus Radio’s 91.5 The Beat.
