For one week starting on Thursday, Tim Hortons is going to donate 100 per cent of the price of orange-sprinkled doughnuts to the Orange Shirt Society and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. This spring, the Tims near the grounds of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in BC became an unofficial community gathering place for mourning, reflection and support after the remains of 215 missing children were found. The discovery prompted a group of Indigenous Tim Hortons owners to launch a working group and develop the fundraising idea.
