Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day across Canada. This is a day to end the stigma surrounding mental illness. Every day, 500,000 Canadians miss work due to a form of mental illness. Mood and anxiety disorders impact an estimated 22% of the Canadian population.
To help spread awareness and raise money for research and mental health initiatives, today Bell will contribute $.05 for every text message sent, mobile call made, and long distance call made by Bell customers. On social media, Bell will contribute $.05 for every tweet and Instagram post using hashtag: #BellLetsTalk and every view of the Bell Let’s Talk Day video. You can also contribute by using the Bell Let’s Talk filter on Snapchat or Facebook. To ensure your text messages count, iPhone users: make sure ensure your iMessage is turned off for the day.
