Fans got the Bat News they’ve been waiting for as it was officially announced that Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman in the new Flash solo movie.
The Wrap, who initially reported Keaton being in talks for the film, confirmed yesterday that after 30 years we will see the return of his take on the caped crusader. The Flash film is set to deal with the multiverse and time travel, which explains how we will meet up with Keaton’s Batman once again. It’s also been confirmed that it will ignore the other two Bat Films following Keaton’s time.

Deadline interviewed the actor last month where he was unsure of his involvement due to the pandemic, “I keep my eye more on the Covid situation in the UK than anything,” adding, “That will determine everything, and so that’s why I’m living outside the city here on 17 acres, staying away from everybody, because the Covid thing has got me really concerned. So, that’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk.”
Keaton won’t be the only former Batman returning as it was confirmed Ben Affleck will also dawn the cowl once more in the film. “The Flash” is set to release on November 4, 2022.
