The Wuhan Coronavirus Evacuees Are Now Back In Canada

After numerous delays in getting a chartered plane to Wuhan, China, 176 evacuees are now back in Canada where they will be isolated for two weeks and monitored for signs of the new coronavirus. Several dozen more Canadian passengers left China aboard a U.S. government flight that departed the outbreak epicentre a few hours later. Those on the American flight are being transferred to another plane in Vancouver — where the Canadian evacuation flight had a refuelling stop. All those arriving from Wuhan will be put into quarantine at Ontario’s CFB Trenton, which health authorities say is necessary to ensure the virus doesn’t spread further. Canada’s Coronavirus count is up to 7 after a man and woman visiting from China became B.C.’s third and fourth presumptive cases.
