Former Bachelor star Colton Underwood is under fire currently for harassment allegations made against him.
Underwood’s ex Cassie Randolph is the one who faced the harassment as Colton supposedly stalked Randolph, placed a tracking device on her car, sent threatening texts to her friends, and would stand outside her window late at night. Randolph was granted a restraining order last year against Underwood, however, she has since dropped it. All this has led to an online petition to get Netflix to cancel the former Bachelor star’s show about his life as a gay man. The petition on Change.org has garnered 21,000 signatures so far and was started by an anonymous user who says that “Cassie is a victim of Colton’s abuse, and he does not deserve a platform in any way. Regardless of his sexuality, Colton should not be given a platform as a result of his abusive, manipulative, and dangerous behavior.” Variety reported Underwood would be receiving his own reality show on Netflix after he came out as gay during a Good Morning America interview which had started filming prior to then.
My thoughts on this Colton Underwood Netflix deal..abusers don’t deserve the spotlight. Period. Women aren’t just tertiary characters in a male’s story arch in becoming their true self. He deserves respect for his sexuality but he does not deserve respect for his abusive behavior
