[VIDEO] New Pixar Movie Is A Love Note To Canada

Check out the trailer for the new Pixar movie, Turning Red. When you do, take a note at the backdrop. Canadian Pixar director Domee Shi, who won an Oscar for her 2018 short, Bao, serves as writer and director on this one, and calls it a love note to Canada. She even enlisted Sandra Oh as the voice of lead character Mei Lee’s overprotective helicopter- mother, Ming. The movie is about a young girl that – when upset or excited – turns into a giant panda. Adorable! The film is also the first Pixar feature film directed by a woman of color and the second to be directed by a woman.
